The Eagles made quick changes after the contest, moving on from offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo after his first season calling plays.

Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts and wide receiver A.J. Brown appeared to have their differences with Patullo during the regular season.

Brown didn’t play a large role in Philadelphia’s loss to the 49ers, catching just three passes for 25 yards. He had a couple of huge drops. Following one drop in the first half, he had a heated moment with head coach Nick Sirianni when returning to the sideline as the punt unit came out.

Following the loss, Brown chose not to speak with reporters postgame. NFL rules dictate that all players must be available to talk to the media after games, unless that player is in the concussion protocol.

On Saturday, the league did not reveal a fine for Brown after he chose not to speak to the media. The only player fined for the 49ers-Eagles game was San Francisco fullback Kyle Juszczyk, fined twice for unnecessary roughness (use of the helmet) for a total of $20,288.

Questions have surrounded Brown’s future with the Eagles after the loss to the 49ers. Earlier this week, general manager Howie Roseman didn’t rule out trading Brown but called him a great player.

“I think that when you’re trying to be a great team, it’s hard to trade great players, and A.J. Brown is a great player,” Roseman said, via ESPN. “He wears a ‘C’ for a reason. He’s an important part of this team, of this organization.

“He cares about winning, he cares about his teammates, and I think when you’re a team like ours that is looking forward to an opportunity to compete for a championship, you just don’t get rid of guys like that.”

The Eagles are in the midst of searching for their next offensive coordinator. It’ll be interesting to see if that hire plays a role in Brown’s future with Philadelphia.
