The Kansas City Chiefs‘ offseason changes continue with another coaching staff departure.

UNLV Football announced recently that former Chiefs quality control coach Louie Addazio will join the staff as the program’s new offensive line coach.

Addazio spent the last two years with the Chiefs. He worked alongside defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo, helping produce a 2024 unit that dominated many categories in the NFL.

Addazio secured his first coaching role at Ohio State as a graduate assistant on the offensive line in 2017. He served previously as an intern for the Buckeyes for one year. He coached tight ends at Bowling Green in 2019, then at Colorado State in 2020 and 2021.

Quality Control coaches provide crucial support with film breakdown, game planning, and scouting for the offensive and defensive coordinators. Addazio has a new opportunity in the college ranks, similar to that of his former staff colleague, Alex Whittingham, who recently joined his father’s staff at the University of Michigan.
