The Tennessee Titans will head into Sunday with what appears to be the final interviews in the first round of their coaching search, with former Arizona Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon and San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator scheduled to meet with Mike Borgonzi.Â
But the big news is that the Titans are moving toward their second round of interviews, and a few names have trickled out. Just a couple of hours after breaking the news on the coaching search, Dianna Russini added a couple of other names to the list: Matt Nagy and Jeff Hafley. Kevin Stefanski was hired by the Atlanta Falcons on Saturday night.
While Nagy was somewhat expected, and a name linked to the position since Brian Callahan was fired in October, Hafley comes in as a bit of a surprise. The former head coach of the Boston College Eagles and current Green Bay Packers defensive coordinator has been a hot name in this cycle and is considered the frontrunner with the Miami Dolphins.Â
While no dates were given for Hafley or Nagy, and the team expected to add a couple more names, expect the second interviews to come early in the week.
