The Detroit Lions traded up in the third round—their second trade up in the 2025 NFL Draft—to select Arkansas wide receiver Isaac TeSlaa.

Here are the terms of the trade.

Lions receive:

Pick 70
Pick 182 (sixth round)
2026 sixth-round pick

Jaguars receive:

Pick 102
2026 third-round pick
2026 third-round pick

TeSlaa was having a strong career with Hillsdale college, producing 68 catches, 1,325 yard and 13 touchdowns in 2022. He then transferred to Arkansas, where he saw modest production. Last year, he caught 28 catches for 546 yards and three touchdowns, averaging a career-high 19.5 per catch.

At 6-foot-3, 214 pounds, TeSlaa is a big-bodied receiver who could potentially either play the big slot role or the WR-X role. His athletic profile is beyond impressive:

He is also a great fit with the Lions’ culture. He played through a broken hand during his big 2022 season at Hillsdale.

However, as a small school prospect, he’s still quite raw. His route running will need to develop, but there’s obviously a lot of tools at his disposal given his grit and physical profile.

The Lions have needed a long-term X receiver since this regime took over in 2021. They may now have it.
