Now this, this is excellent tweeting.

After losing starting quarterback Bo Nix to a season-ending ankle injury in the divisional round of the NFL playoffs, the Denver Broncos are set to start backup quarterback Jarrett Stidham against the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship game next weekend.

Missing their starting QB, the Broncos have understandably opened as home underdogs, but another former NFL quarterback likes their chances of getting an upset win.

Nick Foles shared a perfect message to Broncos Country on social media on Sunday evening.

“Note for the Broncos and their fans: I know it has been an emotional 24 hours,” Foles tweeted. “I feel for Bo and the team, and I’m sending prayers for a strong recovery. A positive note going into the game versus the Patriots is that they struggle against backup QBs in championship-type games.”

Foles, of course, took over for an injured Carson Wentz during the 2017 season and led the Philadelphia Eagles to a win over the Patriots in Super Bowl LII. Eight years later, Stidham will now go from backup to QB1, and he’s set to face his former team in his first career postseason start.

Fans in Denver will hope to see Stidham follow the Foles blueprint as the Broncos look to upset the Patriots with a backup quarterback under center.
