Thomas Brown is considered one of the top coaching candidates in the NFL. And another team has emerged with interest in the Patriots tight ends coach and passing game coordinator.
The Los Angeles Chargers are expected to interview Brown for their vacant offensive coordinator position, NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport reported.
The news comes minutes after New England punched its ticket to the AFC Championship Game against the Denver Broncos after a 28-16 win over the Houston Texans on Sunday.
Brown began his career in 2020 under Rams coach Sean McVay as the running backs coach. In his debut season, the Rams went 10-6 and fell in the NFC Division round. He was promoted in 2021 to assistant head coach, and the Rams defeated the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl LVI.
He had stops with the Carolina Panthers and Chicago Bears before the Patriots hired Brown in January 2025.
Brown is also a candidate for the Arizona Cardinals head coach vacancy.
It’s unclear when the interviews will take place, but for now Brown is focused on the Broncos.
