At the time, the cost was estimated to be between $40 and $50 million, which Buc-ee’s agreed to pay a large portion of.In 2022, it was thought the location would open in the first half of 2025.In January 2024, Nadalo told Peyton Furtado that the travel center is still in the works, but it will not open until mid-2026.Anderson County officials said they were going to apply for $60 million from the South Carolina Transportation Infrastructure Bank in March 2024. The bank only funds big projects connected to interstates. It is not known what came of this application at this time.The current timeline for the grand opening of the Anderson County Buc-ee’s is uncertain.
