Former Carolina Panthers defensive lineman Jaden Crumedy wasn’t out on the open market for long.
As announced on Tuesday, Crumedy has signed a reserve/future deal with the Green Bay Packers. The 25-year-old defender officially became a free agent on Monday—along with quarterback Mike White, tight end Ross Dwelley, offensive lineman Brandon Walton and cornerback David Long Jr.
Carolina selected Crumedy in the sixth round (No. 200 overall) of the 2024 NFL Draft. The Hattiesburg, Miss. native played five years at Mississippi State University (2019 to 2023)—where amassed 123 total tackles (16.0 for a loss), 8.5 sacks, five passes defensed and a forced fumble.
Crumedy ended up appearing in eight games for the Panthers over his two pro campaigns. He totaled 15 combined and half a sack.
Along with Crumedy, the Packers also added quarterback Kyle McCord on a reserve/future deal this afternoon.
