According to the NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, Mike McDaniel is withdrawing his name from consideration for the Browns’ head coaching opening.

So how does this apply to the Jaguars?
Well, among the finalists for the job is Jaguars’ offensive coordinator Grant Udinski. Now with McDaniel no longer in the mix, that is one less person vying for this role.
Jim Schwartz and Todd Monken are among those interviewing in-person as well.
This past year was Udinski’s first with the Jaguars. He played a key role in Trevor Lawrence’s growth and in the success the Jacksonville offense had over the second half of the season, averaging almost 33 points per game during their eight-game winning streak.
But going beyond the production, there are a few other reasons why Udinski is garnering head coaching attention.

Liam Coen recently discussed the possibility of losing Udinski, as well as Anthony Campanile, to head coaching searches.
