The Arizona Cardinals, after losing two coaching candidates they wanted to interview for a second time, have added a new candidate to the mix. According to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo and Ian Rapoport, the Cardinals interviewed Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Joe Brady on Tuesday.
This is the first contact we know of about the Cardinals and Brady.
Brady has been with the Bills for the last four seasons. He was the offensive coordinator for the last two years and was the quarterbacks coach and interim offensive coordinator in 2023. The Bills were a top-five offense in points and top-10 in yards all three seasons. He was quarterbacks coach in 2022.
He was the Carolina Panthers‘ offensive coordinator in 2020-2021 after spending a season at LSU as the passing game coordinator, where he helped Joe Burrow and the Tigers win a national championship.
Brady also interviewed for the Atlanta Falcons’ job, now filled by Kevin Stefanski, the Las Vegas Raiders‘ position and is scheduled for a second interview with the Baltimore Ravens for head coach.

It feels like, after the Cardinals lost out on Jeff Hafley to the Miami Dolphins and Robert Saleh to the Tennessee Titans, they are either resetting the search or simply conducting interviews for the sake of interviewing candidates while they wait for other candidates still in the playoffs.
We will see if Brady gets a second interview.
