Carolina Panthers wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan could be cleaning up on some serious hardware.
On Tuesday, the Pro Football Writers of America announced that they have voted McMillan as their Rookie of the Year and Offensive Rookie of the Year for the 2025 campaign. The 22-year-old was also named to their All-Rookie team.
McMillan, the eighth overall pick from the 2025 NFL Draft, reeled in 70 catches for 1,014 yards and seven scores this past season. His 1,014 receiving yards now stand as a new franchise record for a rookie, surpassing Kelvin Benjamin’s 1,008-yard output in 2014.
This announcement bodes well for McMillan’s chances of taking the stage at NFL Honors on Feb. 5—as the last five winners of the PFWA’s Offensive Rookie of the Year (Jayden Daniels, C.J. Stroud, Garrett Wilson, Ja’Marr Chase and Justin Herbert) have gone on to also be named the Associated Press’ Offensive Rookie of the Year.
