The Denver Broncos made two changes to their practice squad on Tuesday.
First, the Broncos brought back wide receiver Brandon Johnson, who will give the team more depth following two injuries at the position. Second, to make room for Johnson, Denver released center Michael Dieter from the practice squad, according to the NFL’s transaction wire.
Dieter (6-6, 315 pounds) joined the team’s practice squad earlier this month. The fact that the Broncos are now letting him go might signal that center Luke Wattenberg (shoulder) is trending toward returning from injured reserve this week. Denver has already designated J.K. Dobbins (foot) to return from IR. We’ll see if Wattenberg joins him.
