The Pittsburgh Steelers have completed their first in-person head coach interview as the search to replace Mike Tomlin continues to heat up.

On Tuesday, the Steelers announced they had interviewed Minnesota Vikings defensive coordinator Brian Flores, who also served as Pittsburgh’s linebackers coach and senior defensive assistant in 2022.

Flores, one of the league’s brightest defensive minds, had a successful three-year stint as the Vikings’ defensive coordinator, resulting in high demand from several teams in need of a head coach.

Flores was the first of three reported in-person head coach interviews for the Steelers this week, with the team also set to meet with Miami Dolphins defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver and former Dallas Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy.
