John Harbaugh will be directing his focus next NFL season on turning around the New York Giants as their new head coach.

And after experiencing their fair share of struggles in recent years, Giants fans may now be feeling that they can share a sense of hope and excitement about the direction of their team.

Why Eli feels Giants can benefit from Harbaugh

As for former Giants QB and two time Super Bowl champion Eli Manning, he also feels that the fanbase has reason to be optimistic with Harbaugh taking over as head coach.

“I think with, you know, bringing in Coach Harbaugh…he’s been successful,” Manning said during an appearance on ESPN’s Get Up.

“He knows how to handle the New York media. There’ll be no situation that’s new to him or too big for him.

“Just bringing that belief, that ‘hey we can win here and we can do it.’ And having these, you know, young players step into that role of being leaders of this team and creating a great culture. I’m excited about the future of the Giants.”

Manning also stated that after having a solid rookie season, Giants QB Jaxson Dart now finds himself in “a great situation” where he will be able to learn and develop under Harbaugh’s tutelage.  

Overall, New York fans will hope that Eli will turn out to be right and that the Giants organization will see a much improved NFL campaign in 2026.
