While there weren’t many positives in the New York Jets’ disastrous 2025 campaign, which ended with a 3-14 record, Armand Membou’s rookie season certainly left fans excited, and it did not go unnoticed on the national stage.

After earning a spot on ESPN’s All-Rookie team, Membou was also named to the PFWA’s (Professional Football Writers of America) All-Rookie squad. He joined New Orleans Saints first-rounder Kelvin Banks Jr. as the two offensive tackles to receive the honor.

The PFWA All-Rookie team is voted on by members of the Pro Football Writers Association, which includes the likes of Jets X-Factor’s Robby Sabo, Nick Faria, and yours truly.

Membou’s stellar 73.8 pass-blocking grade at Pro Football Focus ranked 11th among 34 qualified right tackles (min. 400 snaps) and was the highest among first-year right tackles.

“He’s got everything that he needs to be great, truly,” Jets center Josh Myers said of Membou. “He’s got the strength, the athleticism, the smarts. He’s got everything he needs, and he’s going to be a really good football player and definitely a cornerstone of this organization.”

Having a strong offensive line is one of the most valuable assets a team can possess in today’s NFL, especially for a team like the Jets that is expected to select a quarterback in April’s NFL draft.

The early returns point to Armand Membou as a long-term building block for New York, with his standout rookie season giving fans reason to believe their team found a franchise right tackle.
