NFL and city officials announced a two-year extension to keep the league’s scouting combine at Lucas Oil Stadium.

INDIANAPOLIS — The NFL Combine is staying in Indianapolis for at least two more years.

The league announced the extension along with the Indianapolis Colts and Visit Indy during the “State of Tourism” event downtown on Wednesday.

The combine has been held in Indianapolis since 1987. The city’s contract to host the event previously only ran through 2026.

“For over three decades, Indy has delivered an exceptional environment for our football evaluation operations, and we’re excited to continue improving the prospect and club experience while enhancing the fan moments that create opportunities for tens of thousands to engage with the league’s future stars,” said NFL executive vice president Peter O’Reilly.

According to Visit Indy, last year’s NFL Scouting Combine generated $9.26 million in economic impact. More than 30,000 visitors and fans attended the 2025 event.

“We know the expanding Indiana Convention Center and new hotel inventory downtown helped keep this marquee event in Indy,” said Visit Indy executive vice president and chief business officer Chris Gahl.

“The Colts and the Irsay family are grateful to the NFL for their continued confidence in our city’s ability,” said Colts COO Pete Ward.

The 2026 NFL Scouting Combine is scheduled for Feb. 23-March 2 at Lucas Oil Stadium.
