The Miami Dolphins announced the addition of former Seattle Seahawks and Indianapolis Colts linebacker Seth Coleman on Wednesday.
Coleman, 25, was a rookie during the 2025 season, but didn’t see the field at all during the regular season. The former Illinois pass rusher signed with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent and stood out in preseason, recording five pressures in only 10 snaps during an exhibition game against the Green Bay Packers.
But Coleman was waived by the Seahawks and only spent a brief period on the Colts’ practice squad in October. Last week, he was selected by the Houston Gamblers in the 2026 UFL Draft.
Prior to his foray into the NFL, Coleman spent his entire collegiate career at Illinois where he was a two-time All-Big Ten honorable mention. He recorded 15.5 sacks, 27.5 tackles for loss, and 15 passes defended.
Coleman is the second player signed by the Dolphins since the hire of Jon-Eric Sullivan as general manager earlier this month. The other, safety Omar Brown, spent about a year with the Green Bay Packers before joining Miami.
