The Chicago Bears have shown that some players have taken a massive leap this season. With teams already deciding who they want to pursue during the offseason, some players have earned themselves significant money from what they were projected to do at the beginning of the season. Let’s take a closer look at one Bears player who has cashed in on a great season and should be paid a lot more than he is currently making by a team this offseason.
Chicago Bears cornerback Nahshon Wright is projected for a massive deal after the 2025 offseason

NFL analyst Marc Ross wrote an article discussing 11 players who deserve a massive payday for their 2025 season and listed cornerback Nahshon Wright as one of the players. Below is the snippet he wrote about Wright:
Wright enjoyed a breakout season on an opportunistic Bears defense. The 6-foot-4, 199-pound corner put his instincts and ball skills on full display, recording 11 pass breakups and five interceptions (second on the team), including a pick-six against Minnesota in Week 1. Wright found success on the outside as he was able to use his length to disrupt receivers at the line of scrimmage and on the perimeter. He was also effective in the run game with 31 stops, tied for fourth-most among cornerbacks, per Next Gen Stats. The Bears showed that, when he’s used correctly, Wright can be a valuable defensive piece.”
Wright was signed to a one-year, $1.1 million contract last offseason and is scheduled to be an unrestricted free agent this offseason. He had a breakout season as the 2021 third-round pick recorded 80 total tackles (54 solo, 26 assisted) with five interceptions, a pair of forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, and 11 pass deflections. This comes after spending three seasons with the Dallas Cowboys and one year with the Minnesota Vikings. It will be intriguing to see if the Bears will bring him back or if he will be in the secondary for another team in the 2026 season.
