Thanks to quarterback Jayden Daniels, it became cool to buy Washington Commanders NFL jerseys in 2024. Every time the NFL released a different Daniels’ jersey, whether it was the black alternate, the new Super Bowl era jerseys they brought back in 2025, or Salute to Service, they were a big hit.
Now, if you’re looking to buy a Daniels’ jersey — or any Washington jersey outside of the Super Bowl era throwbacks, you can find them on clearance.
No, it’s not because the Commanders were 5-12 in 2025. Or because fans are still protesting over the name. Instead, it’s because Washington’s current jerseys will be going away in 2026. The Super Bowl-era throwbacks will likely become the Commanders’ permanent uniforms.

The Commanders’ jerseys were introduced in 2022 when they changed their name. They’ve never been popular. The jerseys, specifically the burgundy and the black jerseys, were more popular than the white ones. Still, most fans longed for something resembling the franchise’s historic past. That’s why the Super Bowl-era uniforms were introduced in 2025.
The longstanding rumor is that these uniforms will become permanent in 2026. The Commanders would also introduce a burgundy jersey resembling the ones they wore as the Redskins. That would explain why each of the jerseys introduced in 2022 is on clearance: they could be going away.
So, if you want to find a Jayden Daniels or Terry McLaurin jersey, now could be the time.
