The Buffalo Bills have completed interviews with Brian Daboll, Joe Brady and Lou Anarumo for their head coaching position, the team has announced.

Daboll served as offensive coordinator for the Bills from 2018-2021, serving as a mentor for quarterback Josh Allen as he rose to stardom.

“In terms of my path of my career and getting better, he was probably the most influential,” Allen said in 2023.

“I’ve learned a lot from him as a quarterback, as a leader, how he handles things,” Daboll said in 2023. “He’s a hell of a player, he’s a great friend and I owe him a lot.”

Daboll was most recently the head coach of the New York Giants from 2022-25. He also has ties to the area, growing up in West Seneca and attending the University of Rochester.

Joe Brady has served as the offensive coordinator for the Bills since November 2023. During his first full season as OC in 2024, his approach to the offense — dubbed “Everybody Eats” — led to an NFL-record 13 players scoring a receiving touchdown.

During his tenure, Allen has won the league’s Most Valuable Player award, and running back James Cook led the league in rushing touchdowns in 2024 and rushing yards in 2025.

Anarumo is currently the defensive coordinator for the Indianapolis Colts. He served as the Cincinnati Bengals’ defensive coordinator from 2019-2024.

The Bills fired Sean McDermott as their head coach on Monday after nine years, with owner Terry Pegula citing a need for new leadership.
