Electronic Arts (EA) has released the first patch for College Football 26 this 2026, and this is a minor update that was released during the game’s maintenance period.

Gamers will see this as College Football 26 update 1.017 (complete version 1.017.000), and this is available for download today, January 22.

Unfortunately, EA has not said anything about today’s patch, which is frustratingly becoming the norm. Hopefully, the developers release something official within the day, and if they do, we’ll update the article with the info.

Chances are, this is one of the game’s last patches given the latest game in the franchise will be released soon.

For now, here are the known technical and gameplay bugs.

Input delay/lag
Dynasty 2 player kicking bug
Player Styles Won’t Save
Total win-loss record still not being shown in Ultimate Team
National Championship Playoff Field pass
Can’t save my Dynasty in TeamBuilder
Unable to Select a kickoff return play after simulating a CPU Extra Point

If EA releases proper patch notes, we’ll update the article with the info.
