🏈 New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel was joined by his former head coach Bill Cowher at Wednesday’s practice. The Patriots play the Denver Broncos in the AFC Championship on Sunday at Mile High.

An Akron, Ohio native, the Pittsburgh Steelers drafted Vrabel in the third round of the 1997 NFL Draft. He played 51 games for the team, recording 56 tackles, four tackles for loss and seven sacks. Vrabel signed with the Patriots in 2001 after spending his first four seasons with the Steelers and won three Super Bowls in New England.

🏈 Former NFL quarterback Philip Rivers interviewed for the Buffalo Bills’ head coaching vacancy on Friday. Rivers, who’s 44, joined the Indianapolis Colts in December after not playing in the league for nearly five years. He started three games.

🏈 NFL Network analyst Brian Baldinger said the Steelers are “very interested” in University of Miami head coach Mario Cristobal for their vacant HC position.

🏈 The Cleveland Browns are reportedly a “data-driven operation” and are requiring head coaching candidates to complete questionnaires, a multi-part essay, a personality test, and additional homework, per Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.

Mike McDaniel and Jesse Minter both withdrew from consideration. Minter was named the Baltimore Ravens head coach.
