Eight months after tearing his ACL against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last September, Denver Broncos inside linebacker Alex Singleton appears poised to return in time for training camp his summer.

“I can’t give specific numbers, but we have practices in a few weeks and you guys can see for yourselves where I’m at,” Singleton told the Denver Post’s Parker Gabriel last week.

The Broncos are set to hold organized team activities from May 27-29, followed by another session from June 3-5. After that, Denver will hold a mandatory minicamp from June 10-12.

Singleton seemed to hint that he will participate in some capacity.

“I think I’m getting my helmet fitted next week,” Singleton told Gabriel. “I think that’ll be a little happy moment. Then the first OTAs. All these happy moments. And then training camp, it’ll be like, ‘Oh, we’re back.’ I think it’ll be really cool to get to do those things and get to do that.”

In an interview with DNVR Sports earlier this month, Singleton indicated he was “on schedule” in his recovery, and he hinted that he would be ready to play in Week 1. That’s beginning to look like a realistic scenario.

Singleton, 31, is entering the final year of his contract with the Broncos. He’s due about $6 million this season, and if he has fully recovered from last year’s injury, Singleton will be poised to reclaim his starting role in 2025.
