Many Philadelphia Eagles fans were delighted following the Wild Card Round loss when the team stripped offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo of his play-calling duties. However, the search for a new Eagles offensive coordinator does not appear to be going very well.
A day after he interviewed with the Eagles for their play-calling vacancy, per ESPN Adam Schefter, Bobby Slowik has been named the new Miami Dolphins offensive coordinator.

As Schefter reported on Saturday afternoon, Slowik is being promoted by Miami from his previous position as senior passing game coordinator to the new play-caller for the Dolphins next season. It is the second big move for the coaching staff made by Jeff Hafley since being hired.
Slowik, age 38 first joined the Dolphins coaching staff in 2024 under Mike McDaniel. He’d previously served as the Houston Texans offensive coordinator in 2023, following head coach DeMeco Ryans after serving on Kyle Shanahan’s coaching staff with the San Francisco 49ers (2017-2022.
Philadelphia’s options are quickly dwindling. The team interviewed Zac Robinson, who was hired to become the Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinator just a few days after his interview with the Eagles. Likewise, Howie Rosmean and Nick Sirianni targeted Mike McDaniel but Miami’s former head coach agreed to become the Los Angeles Chargers offensive coordinator.
It has been reported that former New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll was one of the top targets in the Eagles coaching search. However, he is firmly in the mix to become the next Buffalo Bills head coach and is being interviewed by the Las Vegas Raiders. Furthermore, he is under consideration to become the Tennessee Titans offensive coordinator and play-caller under Robert Saleh.
For Philadelphia, that leaves the likes of former Buccaneers offensive coordinator Josh Grizzard, former Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Matt Nagy, and former Giants offensive coordinator Mike Kafka. All three coaches were not brought back by their respective teams this offseason.
