Mike Evans and his future with the Bucs remain up in the air. Both parties would seemingly love to have a reunion as the all-time great Buc would like run things back when he is healthy. That being said, it would also, make sense for him to be a fit for other teams.

PFF’s Mason Cameron wrote up the best landing spots for several highly graded players who are free agents this offseason. He wrote about the Bucs’ Mike Evans and offered up some high praise for the veteran wide receiver.

Cameron writes about Evans’ situation, saying, “While questions linger surrounding Mike Evans‘ possible retirement, there’s no question that the 32-year-old wideout can still produce when on the field. Although injuries derailed his 2025 campaign, Evans posted the fourth-highest PFF grade (89.0) among receivers in 2024. He remains a highly efficient pass-catcher, as his 2.21 yards per route over the past two seasons ranks in the top 15.”

As for the ideal fit for him in free agency, Cameron’s choice is likely to upset Bucs fans as it was not having him return to the team. Instead, Cameron has Evans heading north to the Buffalo Bills as they look to retool ina critical offseason of their own.

“The Bills’ lack of quality depth at outside receiver limited their offensive output, particularly when injuries mounted late in the year. Add in their limited capability to stretch the field vertically – recording the sixth fewest receptions on throws of 20 or more yards – and Evans profiles as a strong upgrade to Josh Allen’s core of weapons.”

Evans in any other jersey but a Bucs one is horrifying for fans to consider. However, in today’s NFL, fewer and fewer legends are finishing their careers with one team.
