Could Jacksonville Jaguars’ defensive coordinator Anthony Campanile be heading elsewhere this offseason?

According to The Athletic’s Dianna Russini, Campanile is among the “lead candidates” for the Arizona Cardinals head coaching job.

Along with Campanile, former Atlanta Falcons’ head coach Raheem Morris and LA Rams‘ offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur are the other lead candidates for this role.

Camapnile had his second interview with the Cardinals this past Thursday, and it took place in person.

This hiring cycle, Campanile has also interviewed for the Miami and Baltimore head coaching gigs, although both of those roles have since been filled.

In his first season as the Jaguars‘ defensive coordinator, Campanile’s unit was one of the best at forcing takeaways, along with this unit surrendering under 15 points per game during Jacksonville’s eight-game winning streak.

Campanile’s scheme proved hard to game plan for with the variety of different looks he would throw at opposing offenses.

Along with Campanile being a finalist for the Cardinals’ job, offensive coordinator Grant Udinski is a finalist for the Cleveland Browns head coaching role.

Going beyond the production, there are a few other reasons why the Jacksonville coordinators are garnering head coaching attention this offseason.
