The Cowboys are owned by billionaire Jerry Jones, who is worth an estimated $20.6billion.

Forbes have completed their annual deep dive into the finances to reveal the most lucrative teams across the world.

The top 30 features 17 teams from America, with just three European entries.

La Liga giants Real Madrid and Premier League side Manchester United are the only soccer teams to make it.

Madrid are valued at $6.75bn, with United coming in just behind with $6.6bn.

They are joined by Italian racing purists Ferrari, who compete in Formula One.

At the top of the list, the Cowboys are out in front with a worth of $13billion.

They have led the rich list rankings since 2016 – marking a full decade at the top.

Forbes’ research indicates the Cowboys had a 29 per cent jump in value from 2024 to 2025.

That’s despite missing out on the playoffs again, with their Super Bowl drought extending to a fourth decade.

The Cowboys top not only the other 17 NFL teams included, but every other sport’s club on the planet.

NBA giants Golden State Warriors are in second place, with an $11bn valuation.

The Los Angeles Rams come next, before the New York Giants and Los Angeles Lakers make up the top five.

Despite back-to-back World Series, the LA Dodgers remain the second-most lucrative MLB franchise.

That accolade goes to the New York Yankees, who are estimated to be worth a cool $8.2bn.

The rich list has generated plenty of discussion across social media.

With Jones set for a busy offseason, it’s difficult to see how the Cowboys are dethroned in the 2026 list.

“$13B for the Cowboys and still no Super Bowl in decades—brand power is undefeated,” wrote one fan on X.

“Shocking that Yankees are not top 3. I can’t see the warriors being more valuable that the Yankees. I don’t mean disrespect,” said another.

“Dont understand how NFL are most valuable sports but only play 18 games in one season very short season,” asked a third.

“Nice to see the Dolphins in the top 16 of something other than the NFL Draft,” joked a fourth.
