Miami Dolphins

Tyreek Hill shared his true feelings on X

The Miami Dolphins’ 2025 season came to an end with a disappointing 38-10 loss to the New England Patriots. By that point, Miami’s season had long since gone down the drain. At 1-6, they fired their general manager, and after Week 15 the team was eliminated and benched their starting quarterback. The absence of superstar wide receiver Tyreek Hill loomed large throughout the year, as Miami’s explosive passing offense of years past was nowhere to be found.

Hill dislocated his knee in Week 4 during Miami’s Monday Night Football game against the Jets. Prior to his injury, Hill seemed to be in bounce-back form as he was once again on pace for over 1,000 yards. During that game, Hill was on pace for his second 100-yard game of the season. Unfortunately for Dolphins fans, that was likely the last time Hill put on a Dolphins uniform as he is expected to be released prior to mid-March.

Tyreek Hill Shares Thoughts on Miami Dolphins’ Quarterback

During his time in Miami, Hill has been outspoken on a variety of topics. Despite previously playing with MVP and Super Bowl champion Patrick Mahomes, Hill frequently praised Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, calling him the most accurate quarterback in the NFL. Eventually, that relationship soured, with Tagovailoa saying Hill needed to be a better leader. Hill responded with a social media story where he excluded Tagovailoa from his top 5 quarterbacks list.

Now, Hill has once again shared his thoughts on a Dolphins quarterback. On this occasion, it happened to be backup Zach Wilson. Hill said on X, “Zach is a great QB plus locker mate with more time with Mike (McDaniel) who knows.” The post came after a report stated that Zach Wilson was seeking to follow in Mac Jones’ footsteps and go to a team where he could develop. Hill mentioned McDaniel for the second time since Miami fired their former head coach. He also responded to McDaniel potentially taking the Chargers offensive coordinator role and hinted at a reunion with the former Dolphins coach.

Following his season with the Dolphins, Wilson is set to be a free agent. He took to Instagram to share a farewell message to the Dolphins. His caption read: “Year 5. Grateful for the journey, the friendships, and the memories with the Miami Dolphins.”

Dolphins Quarterback Position

It seems more than likely that Wilson will depart the Dolphins organization. The Dolphins will enter the offseason with three quarterbacks on their active roster. Tua Tagovailoa, whose tenure with the team seems to be coming to an end, Quinn Ewers, who started the final three games for the Dolphins still has three years remaining on his rookie contract, and Cam Miller, a sixth-round rookie the Dolphins claimed off the Raiders’ practice squad prior to Week 18.

New Miami general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan shared his philosophy regarding the quarterback position, saying “The team will draft a quarterback every year or every other year.” The Dolphins currently have the No. 11 overall pick in the upcoming NFL Draft; however, the quarterback class is said to be very weak.
