The Philadelphia Eagles picked up their biggest offseason win Wednesday when the vote to ban the “tush push” quarterback sneak play failed. And now fans can commemorate that victory with a new T-shirt released by the team.
Following an array of social media posts (and uploading a 26-minute compilation of tush pushes to YouTube) celebrating the thwarted attempt to ban the play, the Eagles ended their victory lap by announcing they’re selling shirts bearing the newly coined “Push on” tag line through their official online shop. The shirt is listed for $34.99.
In addition to the shirt, the Eagles’ shop also changed it’s “add to cart” button to read “push here” instead, displaying one more small victory lap for the controversial play remaining legal in the NFL.

League sources told The Athletic that 10 teams — including the Baltimore Ravens, New England Patriots, Detroit Lions and New York Jets — voted against that proposal, put forth by the Green Bay Packers. A majority of the league ultimately voted for a ban, but the Packers’ proposal fell two votes shy of the required 24-vote threshold. The Eagles’ first social media post bearing the new “Push on” mantra featured an image of the team’s offense lining up for a tush push against the Packers.
Eagles leadership lobbied to protect the play they’d perfected right up to the end. According to a league source, owner Jeffrey Lurie addressed assembled owners for more than 30 minutes before Wednesday’s vote, emphasizing the need to clean up the process, not the play itself, saying: “Whoever votes to ban this play is taking liability for putting risk on our quarterbacks.” Following Lurie’s speech, former Eagles center Jason Kelce testified to the play’s safety.
