SEATTLE (WBTV) – Sam Darnold is headed to Super Bowl LX, yes, the same Darnold who was with the Carolina Panthers for two seasons and posted two four-win seasons. Darnold helped guide the Seattle Seahawks past the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday night.
In the NFC Championship Game on Sunday, Jan. 25 against the Rams, Darnold threw for three touchdowns and 346 yards passing in the win.
Darnold, led the Seahawks to the No. 1 seed in the NFC and to a 14-3 record while throwing for more than 4,000 yards and 25 touchdowns in his first season in Seattle.
The former Panther, since leaving Carolina at the end of the 2022 season, has a record of 28-7, after posting back-to-back 14-win seasons with the Minnesota Vikings and the Seahawks.
During his two seasons in Carolina, Darnold posted an 8-9 record while throwing for 3,670 yards, 16 interceptions, and 16 touchdowns.
In his two 14-win seasons, with the Vikings and Seahawks, Darnold threw for over 8,000 yards with 60 touchdowns and 26 interceptions.
