The NFL offseason is officially underway, and that also means the coaching rumors and coordinator rumors ramp up. While a lot of vacancies have already been filled, the Buffalo Bills have their head coach spot open, and it has led to Philip Rivers getting an interview for the spot.
*Prediction*
After coming out of retirement to try to help the Indianapolis Colts after Daniel Jones went down with his injury, it has led to Philip Rivers getting the consideration for a coaching role. While the Bills could very well be interested, it would make more sense for Philip Rivers to be hired as the next Indianapolis Colts offensive coordinator.

Indianapolis Colts Hiring Philip Rivers as the Next Offensive Coordinator
The Indianapolis Colts’ current offensive coordinator is Jim Bob Cooter, and it is clear that there are areas of the offense that the Colts need to improve, and the only way they can do so is by hiring a new offensive coordinator. When considering the Colts’ inability to help with the development of their young quarterback, Anthony Richardson, it puts a great emphasis on the Colts needing to move on and find a better offensive coordinator.
To replace Jim Bob Cooter, the Colts can look to hire Philip Rivers. With Rivers, he had played in the NFL for 18 years, and two of those seasons were spent in Indianapolis, so he knows the team as well as the overall culture there. Even with having played just a few games, Rivers got a refreshed understanding of the game, and knows first-hand the type of players the Colts have on the team.
With his overall experience as a quarterback, Philip Rivers would be able to take that and apply that as a coach. He would know how to adjust in-game with his play calls, and provide the leadership needed to get the most out of the unit going forward.
