It has combined for the Cowboys to record just seven wins and one tie in 2025.
Owner Jones has looked to improve the team’s defense ahead of the new campaign.
This has included firing defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus, 55, after failing to reach the playoffs.
The Cowboys have recruited Eagles assistant Christian Parker, 34, to replace Eberflus.
Parker spent the last two seasons as the Eagles’ passing game coordinator and defensive backs coach.
But Jones will not be returning the favor as he sets out his 2026 ambitions.
