It seems as if fans aren’t so appreciative of Tony Romo’s diagnosis of every single play these days.

The common theme of Tony Romo’s CBS Sports commentary has been to break down what’s happening on the field. In the beginning, Romo would see things before they happened, wowing the casual NFL fan, while the seasoned ones asked, “Why didn’t you see that while you were playing quarterback?”

Now, Romo diagnoses even the simplest of plays, and fans are growing impatient. Many fans would post on (X), “Just shut up.” Or, “Not every play needs a diagnosis.”

CBS will have to take a long look at the decline in Romo’s popularity at the position beside Jim Nantz. A lot of curse words and vulgarity were also thrown Romo’s way on social media.
