The Denver Broncos may have lost their chance at the 2026 Super Bowl, but hey, are you caught up on Quefs?

How to Watch

Watch Saturday Night Live Saturdays at 11:30/10:30c on NBC and next day on Peacock.

Saturday Night Live and January 24 Host Teyana Taylor took a trip to the sidelines of the Denver Broncos vs. New England Patriots championship game with “NFL on ESPN.” The sketch is set just before the January 25 AFC game, before anyone technically knows for sure that the Patriots will beat the Broncos, but after everyone has learned that Broncos quarterback Bo Nix is out with an ankle injury.

Sideline reporter Lisa Salters (Taylor) has seen the writing on the wall.

“Well, the Broncos have nothing to be ashamed of,” she says. “They had a great season, and should just hold their heads high. I’m sure they’ll be the team to watch next year.”

“Uh, Lisa, the game hasn’t even started yet,” points out ESPN anchor Joe Buck (James Austin Johnson). “Think you’re writing off the Broncos a little early?”

“I mean. Come on,” she says, pointing out, “They ain’t got no quarterback.”

SNL introduced Denver Broncos fans to QB Jarrett Stidham

Back on the field, Lisa is interviewing “a fan,” who actually turns out to be Broncos backup quarterback Jarrett Stidham (Tommy Brennan). Despite his protests, Lisa’s still unconvinced that the team can win and is wishing him great luck next season.

“Oh, wow, so that’s Jarrett Stidham!” says Aikman, shocked. “I didn’t know that’s what he looked like.”

“Yeah, no one did,” says Buck. “But one thing I do know is Quefs is back, and I am sat. This week on Quefs, Evangeliste and Tatiana are serving filets with aside of slay, while Bridgiette and her soft dom Swavé sort out their situationship with the help of guest star Governor Gavin Newsom.”

Veronika Slowikowska and Jane Wickline have joined Sherman and Fineman in the promo, and as Buck reads reviews like “Not my ass watching Quefs” and “It’s giving Quefs,” we’re pretty sure we’d like to watch.

In the end, Lisa was vindicated. The Broncos lost to the Patriots 7 to 10, and the Patriots are heading to Super Bowl LX to face off against the Seattle Seahawks on February 8, only on NBC and Peacock.

Peacock is also the place to go for sketches from every episode of Saturday Night Live, including the rest of Teyana Taylor’s debut episode
