Louisville football released its 2026 football schedule. The Cards will kick off the fourth season under head coach Jeff Brohm the first week of September in a neutral site game against Mississippi at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee, on Sept. 5 or 6. It’s the second time in four years that the Cards will start off the season against the Rebels in a neutral site game; Ole Miss beat UofL 43-24 in 2021. UofL will have six home games this season. Louisville’s home opener is scheduled for Sept. 11 against Villanova. Following the home opener, the Cards will remain at L&N Stadium for two weeks to start ACC play against SMU on Sept. 19 and Wake Forest the next week. On Oct. 3, Louisville will travel to Raleigh for its first conference road game against NC State before returning home to host Florida State. It’s the first meeting between the Cards and Seminoles since the 2023 ACC Championship. The biggest takeaway from the Cards’ schedule release is that Louisville will only have one bye week compared to two in 2025. The Cards’ bye week is Week 8 of the season on Oct. 24.
