Calen Bullock is headed to Santa Clara.

The Houston Texans’ second-year safety was named to the AFC Pro Bowl roster, alongside fellow teammate and standout cornerback Kamari Lassiter. Bullock will replace Pittsburgh Steelers star Jalen Ramsey, who elected to miss the Pro Bowl following a playoff loss in the wild-card round.

Perhaps the most improved player of the Texans‘ defense, Bullock had a career season while helping Houston post the No. 1 total defense amid a 12-win season. Starting in all 17 games for the first time in his career, Bullock recorded a career-best 64 tackles, along with registering 10 pass breakups, a forced fumble, and a team-high-tying four interceptions.

In November, Bullock played the most snaps among all AFC safeties, totaling 304 defensive snaps while recording 26 tackles (18 solo), five pass deflections and three interceptions. In the Texans’ victory against the Buffalo Bills, Bullock recorded five tackles and two interceptions, including a game-clinching interception with 24 seconds remaining.

Bullock also ended the tenure of Mike Tomlin with the Steelers and potentially the career of Aaron Rodgers with his game-sealing 50-yard interception returned for a touchdown.
