Now that championship Sunday has come to a conclusion, it is now officially time for mock draft season, and NFL Media analyst Daniel Jeremiah got the ball rolling on Monday morning.
The Washington Commanders hold the No. 7 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, and Ourlads has mocked Texas Tech outside linebacker David Bailey to come to the nation’s capital.

Bailey is a 6-foot-3, 253-pounder who spent three seasons with the Stanford Cardinal before spending his senior year with the Texas Tech Red Raiders, who won the Big XII and reached the quarterfinals of the College Football Playoffs.
The 22-year old notched a career-high 52 tackles with Tech in 2025, a led the team in sacks with a whopping 14.5, which was over 33 percent of the Red Raiders total sack count. He also forced three fumbles and deflected three passes.
Bailey has gotten better in each of his four seasons and could see his stock soar over the next few months ahead of April’s draft. He was scheduled to participate in this week’s Senior Bowl but pulled out.
While Washington currently has Bobby Wagner, Von Miller, Frankie Luvu and Ale Kaho at linebacker, Wagner is 35-years-old and is heading into free agency. Bailey could be a boost in the Commanders‘ secondary, whether or not Wagner is to move on from Washington.
