Another coach from the Pittsburgh Steelers could be on the move, as he was recently interviewed by the Dallas Cowboys, per a report from NFL insider Jordan Schultz.

According to Schultz, Dallas requested and completed an interview with Steelers outside linebackers coach Denzel Martin for a lateral move on the Cowboys’ coaching staff.

Martin joined the Steelers staff in 2016, serving as a scouting assistant from 2016–2017. He was a coaching assistant for Pittsburgh from 2018–2019 before being promoted to assistant outside linebackers coach, a role he held from 2020–2022. Martin has been the Steelers outside linebackers coach from 2023–2025.

A few weeks ago, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette’s Gerry Dulac reported that the Steelers told the entire coaching staff, previously hired under Mike Tomlin, that they were “free to pursue other opportunities” and wouldn’t be kept unless the new head coach wanted to re-hire them.

With Martin and the rest of the Steelers coaching staff currently on the outside looking in under the new Mike McCarthy regime, expect a healthy dose of interview requests coming from multiple NFL teams.
