The Green Bay Packers have a number of talented players slated for free agency.
Two of them are already viewed as rather likely to leave: QB Malik Willis and WR Romeo Doubs. For both, it may be more a matter of where they go from here.
Willis will be tough for Green Bay to maintain as a backup quarterback who could get money closer to a starting quarterback salary from another team.
Doubs is looking at a big raise, too, and with the Packers’ receiver room being so crowded, it doesn’t necessarily make sense for them to pay him so much just to create a logjam.

CBS Sports writer Zachary Perales recognizes this in a new article, predicting indeed that both Willis and Doubs will leave.
Perales puts Willis in a landing spot with the Miami Dolphins.
“This has already become a popular landing spot ever since the Dolphins hired former Packers defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley,” Perales writes. “Willis would be a good mid-range option: a quarterback with the potential to be more than a bridge guy, but not one who would require a big contract.”

Then in the same article, Doubs is placed with the New Orleans Saints.
“The Saints have already determined that they’ll move forward into 2026 with Tyler Shough as their quarterback, and in doing so, they should upgrade his surroundings,” Perales writes. “Doubs would provide a strong No. 2 option opposite Chris Olave.”
Both those would be landing spots that make sense.Â
Willis and Doubs would have a challenge, though, going from a playoff to two teams that just missed the postseason. It’d be up to them to help lift those teams back in the right direction.
