The pre-draft process is in full swing for teams like the Cincinnati Bengals as the top all-star games take place this week. The Shrine Bowl happens Tuesday night while the Senior Bowl, now sponsored by Panini, will take place Saturday afternoon.

While the Senior Bowl typically gets the top players and more of the recognition, the Shrine Bowl has really closed the gap over the last few years and become just as important as the Senior Bowl. Plenty of good players have come out of that game, including some recent first-rounders such as Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers.

Here are some players to keep an eye on during Tuesday’s game in Frisco, Texas.

Jager Burton, IOL, Kentucky

Burton has been showing off this weekend in Frisco, generating a lot of buzz and looking like he could play the center position for a long time in the NFL. He’s shown quickness and a strong anchor thus far and really shone in 1-on-1s, where the offense is usually at a disadvantage. For a Bengals team always keeping an eye on interior offensive linemen, Burton is quickly coming onto the radar.

Darrell Jackson, DT, Florida State

Speed, quickness and plenty of size (6-foot-5, 328 pounds). That’s what Jackson is bringing to the table after dominating 1-on-1s. The Bengals haven’t hit on many defensive tackles in recent memory, leading to a lack of depth behind BJ Hill. Jackson could be a name to track in the later rounds to round out that needed depth.

Landon Robinson, DT, Navy

Sticking with defensive tackles, we have a player in Robinson who was compared to Bengals great Geno Atkins by Jeff Risdon over at Sports Illustrated. Robinson may not have incredible size, coming in at 5-foot-11 and 291 pounds, but he was a menace for opposing offensive linemen all weekend long. Bengals fans would surely welcome a lighter version of one of the best players in recent memory for the franchise and give a boost to a position that hasn’t had too many effective players since Atkins left.

Malachi Lawrence, Edge, UCF

Lawrence showed flashes of being a speedy edge-rusher in Frisco after coming off a solid season with seven sacks for UCF last season. He has plenty of room to grow as a prospect and is likely a Day 3 developmental prospect, but he has some tools to work with and doesn’t need to be thrust into a major role immediately if he were to come to Cincinnati.
