The four teams advanced in largely dramatic fashion over the divisional round, with the Broncos knocking off the Buffalo Bills in a 33-30 overtime thriller that saw Broncos quarterback Bo Nix go down for the season with an ankle injury in the game’s waning minutes; the Seahawks demolished the San Francisco 49ers in a 41-6 blowout; the Patriots beat the Houston Texans in a cold, rainy 28-16 battle; and the Rams eliminated the Chicago Bears in a 20-17 overtime battle decided by a late interception thrown by Bears quarterback Caleb Williams.

This season’s playoff race has been one of the most surprising and twisty in years, with perennial contender the Kansas City Chiefs not even making the playoffs, while the reigning Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles were eliminated all the way back in the Wild Card round.
Of the remaining contenders, you have a Patriots team led by budding superstar quarterback Drake Maye; a Broncos team looking to keep its Super Bowl hopes alive on the arm of backup quarterback Jarrett Stidham; the Rams close to another shot at the Lombardi Trophy with veteran quarterback Matthew Stafford under center; and the Seahawks aiming to go all the way behind journeyman quarterback Sam Darnold.
