Houston Texans cornerback Kamari Lassiter has been added to the AFC Pro Bowl Games roster as a replacement for New England Patriots cornerback Christian Gonzalez.
Gonzalez is going to Super Bowl LX after the Patriots defeated the Denver Broncos 10-7 on Sunday.
The Alabama Sports Writers Association’s Class 4A Back of the Year for the 2020 season at American Christian Academy in Tuscaloosa, Lassiter is the seventh player from an Alabama high school or college on this season’s Pro Bowl rosters, including from the Texans.

In his second NFL season, Lassiter led the NFL’s outside corners with 91 tackles, tied for sixth in the league with 17 passes defended and recorded seven tackles for loss in 16 regular-season games. He had an eight-game stretch where he intercepted or broke up at least one pass in each contest, the longest streak in the NFL in 2025. Lassiter intercepted four passes in 2025 after having three interceptions as a second-round rookie.
Lassiter made 11 tackles and broke up four passes in Houston’s two playoff games this month.
Since 1999, Lassiter is the only cornerback with at least 80 tackles, six tackles for loss and four interceptions in a single season.
The Pro Bowl Games will culminate with the flag-football contest at 7 p.m. CST Feb. 3 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. ESPN, Disney XD and ESPN Deportes will televise the event.
