IRON MOUNTAIN, MI. (WBAY) – A lucky Packers fan is hitting the road Tuesday night after winning a new car.
Linda Wanhalan of Iron Mountain, Michigan, learned about the win during the fan appreciation game, the last home game of the regular season.
One of the Packers’ biggest fans got the opportunity of a lifetime.
It was not only the chance to stand in the middle of Lambeau Field on game day, but also to win a new car.
“I have been entering this contest every day since July of 2025. I may have missed one day, but I entered every day,” Wanhalan said.
But an unfortunate situation arose on Dec. 2 when a crash with a deer damaged her Nissan Rogue.
“It hit so hard that it totaled the car, and the very next day, less than 24 hours later, I had noticed that I was one of nine finalists in the running to win a car from the Green Bay Packers and Chevrolet,” Wanhalan said.
Then, a few weeks later, there she was in front of thousands of Packers fans.

Wanhalan chose to come to her local dealership in Iron Mountain because ever since a deer jumped in front of her car back in December, she’s had to have other people drive her around.
Wanhalan needed a new car. She worked with the dealership’s salesperson, Tiffany Kaminski, to figure out what was best.
“We had the color already narrowed down. When she sat in the Equinox the first time, good size, very comfortable with that size. So, we knew from there that we were on the right path,” Kaminiski said.
“As long as it runs. It works and it’s great. All the added features are a plus,” Wanhalan said.
Since she’s retired, she has all the time in the world to learn the features of the car.
“I like the design. I like the fact that I will have heated seats. I’m a cold person. And I like the Sirius radio. I like the 60s music,” Wanhalan said.
She left the lot feeling like this was a full-circle moment.
