(KNUE-FM) After this past weekend, it’s time for Texans to pick their Super Bowl team. Who will you be cheering on in the Super Bowl this year. To me, this is an easy choice. There’s no way I can root for the New England Patriots to win another Lombardi trophy, so I am all about cheering on the Seattle Seahawks in the big game.
Super Bowl LX Is Set: Seahawks vs Patriots
Probably the biggest reason I would love to see the Seahawks win is to see former Dallas Cowboys defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence win a ring. He left the Cowboys saying he wanted to win a championship, and former receiver Dez Bryant said he didn’t think it would happen. Dez even said that if DeMarcus and the Seahawks make the Super Bowl, he would buy him a Rolex watch. We are still waiting to see the Rolex.

The Patriots Dynasty and Fan Fatigue
There is also the fact that the Patriots have won so much in recent years after Tom Brady put together his dynasty years. I’ll admit they deserved all the success they had, I am just tired of seeing it as a sports fan.
It’s strange approaching a Super Bowl with many expected to discuss Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs, but I think they will be back next year. They have too much talent to not make another run at a Super Bowl championship next year. The Dallas Cowboys, um, maybe, just maybe next year is their year.
Game Day Plans and Fans Expectations
The big game is quickly approaching. It’s time to start planning snacks, who you’re going to watch the game with, and who you’re rooting for this year. But hopefully, this helps you realize that everyone in Texas should be cheering for the Seattle Seahawks.
Top 10 must-have snacks for a Super Bowl party
Wings (Buffalo, BBQ, or Honey Garlic)
The Super Bowl MVP. Bonus points if you have at least two flavors and ranch and blue cheese.
Chips & Multiple Dips
Think: queso, buffalo chicken dip, spinach artichoke, or French onion. The more dips, the better.
Sliders
Cheeseburger sliders, pulled pork, or chicken—easy to grab, no plate commitment.
Nachos (Loaded)
Cheese, meat, jalapeños, sour cream, guac—basically a snack mountain.
Pizza (Cut Small)
You can’t skip pizza. Variety matters: pepperoni, cheese, and one wild card.
Pigs in a Blanket
Small, salty, dunkable, undefeated.
Mozzarella Sticks or Cheese Curds
Crispy + melty = gone by halftime.
Veggie Tray (For Balance)
Someone will pretend to eat this so they can justify more wings.
Brownies or Cookies
Easy dessert you can eat with one hand while yelling at the TV.
Popcorn or Snack Mix
Great for stress-eating during close games or questionable calls.
