The Pittsburgh Steelers are set to hire former Buffalo Bills and Dallas Cowboys wide receivers coach Adam Henry to take the same position.
Henry was with the Bills from 2023 through this past season, and with the hiring of Joe Brady as head coach, the Bills have decided to not retain him.
Before that, Henry has bounced round the collegiate and NFL ranks. He was with LSU when Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry came into prominence. As their position coach, that gained him enough of a reputation to leap up to the NFL.
Since that time, Henry has coached with the 49ers, Browns, and Giants. He also was with Mike McCarthy with the Dallas Cowboys in 2020 and 2021 before the team moved on. For one year, Henry would drop down to become the offensive coordinator at Indiana.
Henry, 53, played wide receiver at McNeese State and went undrafted in the 1994 NFL Draft. For the Steelers, it will give a new voice after previous wide receivers coach Zach Azzanni was seemingly not retained by McCarthy and his new staff.
The Steelers have already started hiring new staff members, with the retaining of three former assistants and the hire of defensive coordinator Patrick Graham seemingly on the horizon.
