New York Giants defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence, otherwise known as “Sexy Dexy,” is a fan favorite in New York. It’s not just because of what he does on the field, although his 341 total tackles and 30.5 total sacks in his seven-year career are respectable.

No, fans like Lawrence because not only is he one of the most dominant defensive tackles in the NFL, but he also likes to have fun.

Sexy Dexy has a very specific celebration dance he does on the field after he makes a play, and U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team (USWNT) forward Trinity Rodman channeled her inner Dexy after scoring a goal against Chile on Tuesday.

Leading up to the dance, the ball was sent from around the middle of the field, about 25 yards from the goal. Riley Jackson sent the ball to the sideline, where Rodman collected it, turned it inside the 18-yard box, and landed a gorgeous far-post shot the goalie had no chance of stopping.

After the goal, Rodman ran to the opposite side of the field and reincarnated the Sexy Dexy dance with head coach Emma Hayes.

The USWNT finished off their January camp with a 5-0 victory over Chile on Tuesday, with Rodman’s goal being the final score of the game. The game also marked the team’s fifth-straight shutout. Their next game is on March 1 against Argentina, set to be played in Nashville, Tennessee.

The National Women’s Soccer League season begins in March as well, so between the USWNT and Rodman’s club team, the Washington Spirit, there will be opportunities in abundance to see a repeat of Rodman channeling her inner Dexter Lawrence.
