At the start of the week, all signs pointed toward the Arizona Cardinals making Los Angeles Rams offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur their next head coach. He was seen as the leader of their three known leading candidates.
Jacksonville Jaguars defensive coordinator Anthony Campanile, one of the three finalists, sigend an extension to return to the Jags, and LaFleur was scheduled to come in Monday night for dinner and then a meeting Tuesday. All expected that a report of a deal being finalized would come.
The Cardinals couldn’t close the deal.
According to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, “they had Mike LaFleur in for 2 days and it started to feel like there was momentum toward that potentially getting done.
“He did leave without a deal, which is an indication that either they wanted to do a little more research or maybe he wanted to think about this a little bit longer as well.”

If LaFleur doesn’t work out, what will the Cardinals do? Is Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak in the mix? Will it be Raheem Morris, or will they have to regroup again?
This is getting to seem like they don’t know what they are doing.
