The Philadelphia Eagles now have their next offensive coordinator.

After letting go of Kevin Patullo following their team’s NFL Playoff exit, the Eagles have now handed Green Bay Packers QB coach Sean Mannion the OC role, as per ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

The 33 year old Mannion is set to be the sixth play caller Eagles QB Jalen Hurts has worked with since being drafted by Philadelphia in 2020, with Hurts having also previously been guided by Doug Pederson, Shane Steichen, Brian Johnson, Kellen Moore, and most recently Patullo from this past season.
Mannion was previously a backup QB in the league and was with the Seattle Seahawks and Minnesota Vikings as recently as the 2023 campaign.

Earlier in his playing career, Mannion also spent time with the Los Angeles Rams organization including during the Rams’ final year in St. Louis.
Despite having stars such as Hurts, Saquon Barkley, DeVonta Smith and A.J. Brown at their disposal, the Eagles only ranked 24th in the NFL in total offense and they also only had the 19th best scoring offense in the whole league this past regular season, as per foxsports.com.
Next year, Philadelphia will look to Mannion to make the offensive unit a much more dangerous threat moving forward, as they seek to get back to being an elite force in the NFC once again.
