Nathaniel Hackett has found a new NFL home.

The former Denver Broncos head coach is joining the Miami Dolphins‘ staff as quarterbacks coach, according to a report from ESPN’s Dan Graziano. Hackett previously served as a defensive analyst for the Green Bay Packers in 2025 after a two-year stint as an offensive coordinator with the New York Jets.

Hackett was Denver’s head coach in 2022, going 4-11 before being fired with two games remaining in his first season on the job. After firing Hackett, the Broncos brought in Sean Payton during the 2023 offseason.

Elsewhere on the coaching front, the Philadelphia Eagles are hiring Sean Mannion as their offensive coordinator, ruling out Denver offensive pass game coordinator and quarterbacks coach Davis Webb for that position. Webb remains a candidate for the Las Vegas Raiders‘ head coach position, and the Baltimore Ravens and New York Giants are interested in him as an OC candidate.

Webb will presumably also be a candidate for the Broncos’ OC opening after the team fired Joe Lombardi.
