If you’re bummed that the San Francisco 49ers are not in the Super Bowl, you can relive their glory days with the docuseries Rise of the 49ers, which will premiere with the first two episodes on Sunday, Feb. 1, at 9 pm ET/PT and then with the final two episodes debuting on Monday, Feb. 2 at 9 pm ET/PT on AMC and AMC+. Narrated by Executive Producer Tom Brady, the series chronicles the rise and dominance of the San Francisco 49ers during the ‘80s and early ’90s.
Footage uncovered by NFL Films, including video of team speeches and behind-the-scenes photos of San Francisco’s legendary head coach Bill Walsh, will tell the story of how the Niners rose from being underdogs into one of the most historic franchises in the NFL.

Team legends such as Joe Montana, Jerry Rice, Steve Young, Ronnie Lott, and Eddie DeBartolo Jr. reflect on their time with the Niners and how they contributed to creating the legacy of winning five Super Bowls.
The docuseries is an AMC Studios and Skydance Sports co-production with producing partners NFL Films and Religion of Sports (ROS). Directed by Ryan Kelly, executive producers include Jesse Sisgold, Jason T. Reed and Jon Weinbach from Skydance Sports, Ross Ketover, Keith Cossrow, Ken Rodgers and Jessica Boddy from NFL Films, and Tom Brady, Gotham Chopra, Ameeth Sankaran and Victor Buhler from Religion of Sports.
